To the delight of our six-year-old daughter, Barbie has introduced a website featuring a virtual dream closet.  Visions of pink complete with the mermaid scene capture our daughter perfectly. The ad features “the girl next door types” which are realistic images for our daughters.

The site is a big wow but will it drive purchases? The brand sells well already–for our daughter another Barbie is never enough.  The site also features fashion links for adults–pushing nostalgia to moms could reap rewards.
